Senior Data Operations Specialist – Operations and QA

Key Responsibilities:

Data Operations and Quality Assurance:
● Develop, check, audit, and deliver datasets with a high level of accuracy within set deadlines.
● Review and annotate data to help train our machine learning (ML) and automation models.
● Identify and fix any errors or inconsistencies in the data to ensure it’s always up to standard. -
Improving Processes and Workflow Management:
● Work closely with other teams to identify and address any gaps in processes, suggesting improvements that help make workflows more efficient.
● Help create or update standard operating procedures (SOPs) that define how tasks should be done.
● Manage and track performance metrics to ensure the team is working effectively and consistently. -
Client and Stakeholder Communication:
● Work with clients to understand their requirements and make sure the team delivers exactly what’s needed.
● Answer client questions quickly and professionally, providing updates on progress.
● Make complex data concepts easy to understand and document them in a simple, clear way. -
Team Leadership and Development:
● Guide the team to meet goals and deadlines while encouraging a culture of teamwork and accountability.
● Lead training sessions to help new team members understand our processes and tools.
● Foster a collaborative, creative, and positive environment where everyone feels valued and motivated. -
Risk and Change Management:
● Identify any potential risks or issues early on and suggest ways to resolve them before they affect the project.
● Adapt quickly to changing priorities and help the team adjust smoothly to new challenges. -
Reporting and Tools Management:
● Prepare reports that measure team performance, including accuracy and productivity.
● Use Excel to manipulate data and generate useful insights, and apply SQL to query datasets for analysis.
● Basic knowledge of Python would be a plus, especially if it’s useful for automating tasks or improving workflow efficiency. -
Project Coordination:
● Assess project needs, estimate time required, and assign tasks to the right people.
● Coordinate with different teams to ensure that work is progressing on time and that deadlines are met. -
Problem-Solving and Troubleshooting:
● Investigate and resolve issues with data, tools, or processes quickly and effectively.
● Stay on top of new tools or trends in data operations and suggest ways to improve our processes.
Qualifications and Skills:

Educational Background:
● A Bachelor’s degree in any field. -
Work Experience: 3-5 years of relevant experience in roles such as:
● Building and maintaining high-quality datasets.
● Managing business operations, processes, or audits.
● Client management, including gathering requirements for custom data solutions. -
Technical Skills:
● Strong knowledge of Excel for data manipulation, creating reports, and analyzing datasets.
● Experience with SQL to query and manage data.
● Basic Python skills are a nice-to-have, especially for automating tasks or improving processes.
● Familiarity with data visualization or reporting tools is a bonus. -
Soft Skills:
● Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.
● Excellent attention to detail and ability to manage multiple tasks at once.
● A solution-focused mindset, with the ability to think creatively to solve problems.
● Strong leadership and time management skills to guide and support the team.
● Positive attitude, self-motivated, and open to learning new things. -
